We are going to Spirit West Coast Del Mar this weekend. This will be the the fourth year that Candace and I have worked as volunteers. It is a lot of fun, and we look forward to seeing a lot of great bands. Check back here because I will be posting some photos throughout the weekend if I can get close enough to get some good shots.

I am on a mission to get as many people as I know blogging. You might ask “why should I waste my time writing about things no one will care about”, or “isn’t it difficult to setup a blog”?
To answer the first question, people do care about what you write. Your family on the east coast may want to keep track of your new baby. You may have friends that have moved away and want to know what has been going on in your life. Do you have a hobby? Are you part of an association or group? The directions you can go are unlimited. The amazing thing is that you will begin to find people reading your blog who have never met you, but are interested in reading about your corner of the world.
With blogs you can post more than text. Pictures, video, etc… are all able to be embedded into your posts. You can also create what are called “static” pages of content like you see in the web design, and worship sections of my blog.
As far as setting up a blog, it is soooooo easy! Yes you can set up a blog on your own, and have full control (the way I run this blog), but there are quite a few free solutions out there that make it really easy to set up one for yourself. Go to blogger.com or wordpress.com. These are free solutions that are easy to use, and solidly built.
My encouragement to you is to try it out. One key to blogging is to post regularly. This will get people coming back to your site.
You can post links to your blogs in the comments below.
