I have been using Firefox as my web browser for 2-3 years now, and for the most part I have loved it. It is much more secure than the dinosaur known as Internet Explorer. But recently Firefox has seemed to be getting a little bogged down, slow, and crashing more often. I had heard about a new browser that is built off of the same engine as Firefox and I thought I would give it a try.
The browser is called Flock. Not only is this browser a bit snappier than Firefox, so far it seems to run better overall. Some other really cool features are that you can post right to your Flickr account by simply dragging and dropping files. NICE! It has a blog feature that allows you to post directly to your blog from within Flock (like I am doing right now). It also has a built-in RSS reader. This isn’t uncommon in newer versions of other browsers, but this reader is laid out really nice.
I am still trying it out, but so far I like it. Try it out for yourself at flock.com. It’s free!
