One of the best hitters of all time, and all around classy guys, Tony Gwynn, entered the Major League Baseball Hall Of Fame today. In an era of overpaid, non-hustling, whining baseball players, Tony stands out as an example of hard work, humility, perseverance, and excellence. What a breath of fresh air.

For a few years I have been toying with the idea of building a tubes setup ala Blueman Group, and I am getting closer to doing it. The pipes I am hitting were next to my son’s preschool, and after beating on them with my hands, I decided to try rubber spatulas. They are a little small and have too much slap, and not enough tone. So, I will need to find a little bigger ones when I am ready to build it.

In an effort to reach to the unchurched our church is beginning to use Facebook as a tool. What we are hoping to do is get as many of our people to begin using Facebook so that when our church announces events, posts info., it will be able to be accessed by their networks.
I have been seeing that churches like lifechurch.tv are using this method of networking, and we wanted to give it a shot. We just started putting this together yesterday, so we will see what happens.
My question, is your church using Facebook as a networking tool? Do you have any tips?

Not Good
This was what I woke up to this morning. The soffet on the front of our house collapsed, and served as a great alarm clock for me. This was not totally unexpected. We knew that the previous owners had created the soffet out of drywall with stucco on top. Yes, I did say drywall. Not very smart. It had begun to sag a few months ago, and I knew it would eventually fall. So, this has become my new home improvement project.
