We had a really good Sunday today! People were engaged in worship, and singing loudly. Great time with God all around. I was especially blown away during How Great Is Our God/How Great Thou Art. To see our church beginning to free themselves up in worship was awesome. You have to understand that we have a congregation that is made up of a lot of relatively new christians and ex-catholics. So you can imagine what a challenge it can be to not only teach/model what it means to worship God, but for us as a church to discover more freedom in worship. It is ok (and Biblical) to be expressive in our worship of God. We can get loud, and shout, lift our hands, and worship God with passion. Ok, I am not a preacher, but I think I am preaching.
In the past year I have found myself consistently praying for our church in this area and God is beginning to kick down some walls!
