This one is for all you worship leader/pastors out there.
There are many aspects to leading a worship band/ministry, but one of the most challenging can be in recruiting new musicians. This is why I pose the question, where are you finding your musicians? What has been your most fruitful “stream” of getting new players? In your church? Outside “evangelistic” recruiting?
I look forward to your comments

My thinking is that it is better to do without and wait until God provides the people who are willing to commit to the church through membership. The worship team is unique because it’s not unusual for us to spend the same (if not more) time on stage as the pastor.
So the worship team is not just a music team. It’s a leadership / ministry team. The people of this team need to have a servant’s hearts and leader’s training.
