Internet Explorer, Are You Kidding Me?
May 5th, 2008
I just installed Firestats on my blog, because I wanted a really simple, real-time stats plugin to replace Google Analytics. I started looking at my stats, granted it has only been 24 hours, but this is what I found:

Are you kidding me? Most of the people visiting are using IE. I am hoping that this is because of the small sample size. Wow! Hear my cry. GET RID OF INTERNET EXPLORER, and use a more secure and standards compliant browser like Firefox, Safari, Flock. Anything but IE. I beg you!!
Rant over. Go back to what you were doing.

Maybe it’s cause all the people with a decent browser actually know what they’re doing so we’re just reading via RSS anyway.

That’s possible.

Our stats are pretty much the same, so I think that is what it is. Most people will use with whatever came with thier OS.

Of course, with that said, I’m using IE. It’s not that bad.

It is that bad when you are designing web pages. IE is a pain.
