I'm all about the email still. I think that other services can be effective, but I know that I check my email more often than anything else during the day and that it is probably the most common method out there.

The messaging tools in Facebook and Myspace can also work well. The biggest downfall I've found with Myspace is that you can only send one message to a single person at a time, which really can bog things down when you need to get a message out to several people and don't have an email option. Of course, depending on what you want to communicate, the "best" option can rapidly change.

I encourage group leaders to keep a short list of how each of their leader communicates best. I love texting, but some of the folks on my crew need emails, some phone calls, some MySpace. I keep a journal with how my team members communicate best and try to work around what the best way for them to "receive" is.

I prefer a phone call, text or email - I want the info to come to one place - my crackberry.

email.

Hands down best way to get a hold of me and will usually warrant the quickest response.

Even my wife resorts to email when she really wants me to pay attention.
